2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NIV)
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

E – Emphasize certain words as you read the text over & over
I – In your own words (paraphrase one or more verses)
O – Other verses in the Bible that say the same or opposite
U – Use it; apply the truth from the text in your life
Lord, I lift up the many people that are ill today. I pray that you would minister to them through the doctors and nurses and all those to help them in their recovery. I pray that as health comes to their bodies that spiritual healing and wholeness would come to their souls. Father, I know that I have not spent quality time with You, as I have allowed daily duties of life crowd my special time alone in Your presence. As I age I experience an outward wasting away of my body, yet at the same time, my inner spirits can shine with a remarkable grace and light as I am renewed by You each day when I devote time with You. Lord help me seek after You, learn Your truths ingraining them on my heart and keep my compass firmly placed on eternal things. Amen
