What to Expect

What to Expect

Welcome to Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church!  We look forward to meeting you.

Here’s what to expect when visiting our church:

  • Church services
    • 8:30 am and 10:30 am:  One-hour in duration.
    • Services are held in our Sanctuary
      • Upon entering the main doors, our Welcome Center is on the right.  The Sanctuary is also on the right located past the Welcome Center.
  • Worship Style
    • We share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music, prayer and a weekly message. Praising God through music, our 8:30 am service is hymn-based. On any given Sunday, you will hear our Choir, Handbells, Quartet, or Gospel Worship Group. The 10:30 am service includes guitar, bass, keyboards, vocalists that lead worship with contemporary Christian music.
  • What do I wear?
    • We dress casual, business-casual and in our Sunday best. On any given Sunday Packer game, you might see our congregation sporting green and gold.
  • What about my kids?
    • Kids are always welcome to our worship services.  We also offer a nursery and Children’s Church.
      • Nursery
      • If your little one needs a break during worship, the nursery is available for ages birth to three years old. Inside the nursery, register your child with our church staff and you will be assigned a pager.  Toys and books are available for the little ones to play with in the nursery.
    • Children’s Church
      • Before the sermon, parents have the option to release their kids ages four to eight years old to Children’s Church where kids have the opportunity to learn about Jesus using age-appropriate content.  Kids return to the Sanctuary at the end of the sermon.
