Psalm 40:1-3 (NIV)
1 I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. 2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. 3 He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.

God of hope, You are faithful, full of mercy and God of new beginnings. You sent Your Son into this world to begin a new covenant with us. You start each day fresh and new with Your forgiveness and Grace. God, I trust that You have a good plan for my life and because of that, I can forget my failures and start each new day with a fresh expectation, choosing on purpose to be hopeful. I thank You and praise You, Lord, as I wait for Your coming. Amen.
