Philippians 4:4-9 (NIV)
Final Exhortations
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

 

Choose one or two key verses from the Scripture reading in Philippians today and do at least one of the following for your chosen verse(s).
A –  Ask questions of the text (Who, what, why, where, when)
– Emphasize certain words as you read the text over & over
I  –  In your own words (paraphrase one or more verses)
O  – Other verses in the Bible that say the same or opposite
U  – Use it; apply the truth from the text in your life

 

Praise and Honor and Glory are Yours forever and ever! I kneel at the foot of Your cross thanking You for Your great compassion and mercy on me. You have given me forgiveness and reconciliation and a hope of heavenly blessedness that is greater than can be fully expressed. This peace keeps my heart and mind dependent on You. It helps me to keep from sinning under troubles and to keep calm with inward satisfaction. Your great love motivates me to respond outwardly to others with my life. The resulting Joy is a cherished consequence of living a life in relationship with You. Thank You Lord. Amen
