Mark 10:43-44 (NIV)
43 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all.

1. For each day, read the text and write down one or two points that stand out to you.
2. At the end of the week, look and pray over your points, and pick one that stands out to you.
3. What will you do to apply that point/truth to your life? Write that out also.
4. Store your notes and application somewhere where you will find them again and see how you are doing in your application of that truth. Note on your calendar when you’ll check it.

In our current society is many people are fighting to be first: first in line for specials, first in line for entitlements, first for attention, first to get the promotion, first to get the money, first to be in power.  Success is measured by what you have accumulated, what you accomplished, your title or who you have control over and who you stepped on to get there. But Lord, that is not Your kingdom. You hold up the vulnerable, the weak, the hungry, the lonely, the grieving, the cheated and powerless. Lord show me those in need, and lead me to serve where I can use my skills and resources in a way that brings glory to You. Help my motives be pure and authentic. Allow me to live in Your truth and integrity and love with Your compassion and kindness. Let my success be measured by the joy in my heart from serving others. Amen
