John 1:14 (NIV)
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
In what way must I become like God? How does that happen?
Most Glorious God, thank you for loving me and all of creation. You have shown mercy and grace, You have fed the hungry, shown compassion to the hurting and taken time to teach those who are eager to hear Your Word. In all things, You give examples of Your abundant Love. Help me to cherish the time to regularly be with You in Your Word so that Your Holy Spirit can transform me to be more like You. Lord let me see sin as You see it and hate it as You hate it, let me see compassion as you see it and love others as you love them. Help me to seek Your will no matter how sacrificial or unpleasant it may be simply because it is your will. I pray that I am overtaken by Your grace and overwhelmed by Your love and grace. Amen.
