1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV)
58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Definition of Lord: (Kurios) an owner–one who has the disposal of anything. Master–one to whom service is due on any ground
(Despote): one who has absolute power or ownership.

What do today’s texts speak to you about your relationship with Christ, the Lord?

What may you need to do/how may you need to change in response to how your Lord speaks to your heart from these passages?

Almighty God, I must confess that sometimes I wonder whether what I am doing in serving You is really making any difference? Help me to not be intimidated or threatened by what others are able to accomplish in different ministries. Different people have different gifts and are also seeking to serve You but in a different way. Each of us should follow Your call in our own lives. Whatever it is that You have put on my heart to do for You, help me to give myself fully to You. Whether I see the results or not I can have confidence that it will please You to follow Your will. Because of the resurrection, I can stand firm and know that whatever I do in Your name is not in vain. Thank You, Lord. Amen
