Isaiah 59:1-2 (NIV)
Sin, Confession and Redemption
59 Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated
you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.

How do my sins impact my relationship with God?

Precious Savior, I come to You broken, sinful and unclean. I have impure thoughts, I have hurt people with my words, I have failed to do what You have prompted me to do, I have allowed selfishness and jealousy to dictate my decisions and actions, and my busyness has taken priority over my time with You. I know that that as long as I choose to live without You that I am separated from Your Love and my heart grows cold and hard. I confess these sins and all sins that I am not even aware of and I place them at the foot of the cross.  Lord, I ask for Your forgiveness. I thank You for loving me when I was unlovable. By Your Grace, You have made me clean again so that I can have a renewed relationship with You. I thank You for Your Holy Spirit who again lives in my heart and reconstructs my life and actions to be in union with Your will so that I can live with you not only on this earth but for all eternity. I rejoice and celebrate Your mercy. Amen
