Psalm 43:5 (NIV)
5 Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.
In what/whom is our hope?
Describe the hope referred to in each text below. Think about it a while.
Lord, I have so much to be thankful for. Every morning I wake up. I have clothes to wear, hot water to shower in, freshwater to drink, food to eat, electricity to keep my food cold, a family to feed, a house to protect me, finances to sustain my needs, and the free will to make choices in my life. Yet at times, I still complain and I am unhappy. Lord forgive me. Help me to not take what I have for granted. I know that life is not always easy. Instead of focusing on the issues that bring me down, help me to put my hope in You, my Lord and Savior. You are all that I need for now through eternity. I praise You for all that You have done, are doing and will do. Thank You, Lord. Amen.
