Galatians 2:17-21 (NIV)

17 “But if, in seeking to be justified in Christ, we Jews find ourselves also among the sinners, doesn’t that mean that Christ promotes sin? Absolutely not! 18 If I rebuild what I destroyed, then I really would be a lawbreaker. 19 “For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

Let’s read verse 20 again: “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me”. (Gal 2:20) When you hear this, what does it mean to you?  What does it mean that you were “crucified with Christ”?  Think of all the sin and stubbornness of this life.  All of that is washed away because of the cross.  You are raised with Christ from death to life!  What does it mean that “it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me”?  Consider that, in the midst of our every day, Christ is with us.  God is not hanging out in the corner of our days, watching from afar.  Christ is with usWhat does this mean to you today?  As you walk through your day, consider that Christ is with you through it all.  Is this a comforting thought?  Does it affect your decisions or change your attitude?  The Lord be with you this day.  Amen!
