Isaiah 66:1-2 (NIV)
Judgment and Hope
66 This is what the Lord says:

“Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be? 2 Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the Lord. “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.

1. For each day, read the text and write down one or two points that stand out to you.
2. At the end of the week, look and pray over your points, and pick one that stands out to you.
3. What will you do to apply that point/truth to your life? Write that out also.
4. Store your notes and application somewhere where you will find them again and see how you are doing in your application of that truth. Note on your calendar when you’ll check it.

Lord, You are the creator of all the galaxies and hold stars and planets in their place. All men are created by Your hand. How awesome are You, Lord! You and Your Word are eternal. I am but a blade of grass that is here today and gone tomorrow. How is it that I still become prideful of my own accomplishments? It isn’t until I fall on my knees before You and Your Word that I can actually see myself in the light of Your truth. Although I am a sinner, out of Your great and mercy, You loved me enough to die for my sins. I do not deserve Your gift of Grace and have nothing to boast about. Instead of senseless pride, keep me humble and contrite. Use me as Your footstool to do Your will. Help me to please You and stay on Your path of righteousness through constant study of and submission to Your Word. Amen
