Psalm 32:8 (NIV)
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
How have you grown and what have you learned from going through change?
Holy God, change is hard. I want to get better but don’t always know how to do it. I feel like my life is always under construction in one way or another. Life is ever-changing and can be somewhat messy. That is why I need You so desperately. Keep my heart open to Your Spirit as You recreate my identity and convict me of sins. Set my life on the right path that brings You glory. Fill me with Your Spirit so that I can be ready with a full tank when I am called to action. Help me to reflect on the past to learn from it. Help me to make fresh decisions that build on the experience from the past and help me to not blindly repeat past mistakes. I submit to Your Spirit to lift up a better way for me so that I don’t work so hard to accomplish less but instead prepare myself to be used by You and Your plan. Open my ears to Your voice, my heart to Your Spirit and light a fire in me again as You teach me the way I should go. Amen
