1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (NIV)
16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.

Of what danger(s) of Christians does Paul warn the church?

Over the years I have learned that the church is not the building, but the people who worship and serve together, united in You. I have also learned that Satan understands the power of Your Spirit through the unity of believers and does what he can to cause division in the church. Bad attitudes which lead to division all stem from an inflated view of our own importance. Comparing ourselves to others results in jealousy, boasting and quarreling are nonspiritual attitudes that are common in the fallen humanity infecting the world and sadly the church too. Protect us from ourselves. Help us to leave our egos at the door and humbly serve You, each other and those in need. Make us dependent on You. Help us to recognize that we are coworkers in Your kingdom and the Spirit moves through us together. Lord, thank you that we are fellow workers with you and that it is you who makes things grow. Keep us from pride and boasting, jealousy and quarreling. Help us to guard the unity of the church. Amen
