Daily Devotions – God’s judgment upon Humanity

Revelation 20:12 (NIV)
12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.

Will I be judged? How so?

Everything I do, every fleeting thought, every motive in this life is recorded and will be judged on the last day. All of the good that I intentionally try to does not compare to the evil that I seem to do naturally.  The thought of being judged for my life makes me shudder because I know that I am doomed. But my Hope is in You Jesus. You took my sins when You died on the cross. You washed me clean. Lord, I accept You as my Savior. I have nothing to fear. As I approach Your throne, I will not face judgment because my name will be written in the book of life. Thank You, Lord, for Your saving grace. Amen
