Revelation 14:6-7

“Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people. He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.””

The book of Revelation is fascinating and difficult to fully understand. But some parts are crystal clear like these verses. Worship is for God alone because He is the Creator of all things. Yet the “eternal gospel” reminds us that God is not impersonal and unapproachable. In fact, God has given us complete and unfettered access to His throne because of Jesus. We do not need to fear the hour of God’s judgment because Jesus has secured our righteousness. Our future is secure. We are called now to live freely in love giving ourselves away so that others might know this “eternal gospel,” too!
