Psalm 119:129-136 (NIV)
129 Your statutes are wonderful; therefore I obey them. 130 The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. 131 I open my mouth and pant, longing for your commands. 132 Turn to me and have mercy on me, as you always do to those who love your name. 133 Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me. 134 Redeem me from human oppression, that I may obey your precepts. 135 Make your face shine on your servant and teach me your decrees. 136 Streams of tears flow from my eyes, for your law is not obeyed.

Identify reasons for coming to church (worship) regularly from today’s texts

Lord, I thank You for Your Word and all the wisdom, and guidance that it provides. I thank You also for my church family and the many opportunities for Bible study groups through the church. I have learned so much more from studying with the others in my groups and I have deepened my understanding of Your Word by the synergy that is created by a group of believers growing in their faith. I have also built wonderful relationships through small groups where we can build up each other as Your body, guide each other,  support each other during hard times and together serve those who need to be served. Lord, bless the groups at our church and continue to teach them to cherish Your Word. Direct their paths according to Your Word. Amen.
