Mark 1:40-42  (NIV)
Jesus Heals a Man With Leprosy
40 A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.” 41 Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” 42 Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.

How has God shown compassion toward you?  Others you know?

To which Bible text above can you most relate?  In what way?

Do you deserve God’s compassion?  Why or why not?

On whom, if anyone, do you have compassion?  For what reason?  How have you shown it?

Are any of those upon which you have compassion people you don’t know, don’t like, or of which you are afraid?  If not, what could you do to experience an attitude change?

Precious Jesus, You love the unlovable, You touch the untouchable, You have compassion on the unclean, the unwanted, the needy, the sick and the dying. There is no hurt, no sin, no despair that can block Your grace. Lord, reach out to me with Your healing touch. Melt away the crusty barrier that blocks my heart and keeps me from loving You, and loving other people. Help me to reach out to those who are untouchable and see them with Your eyes. Amen
