Genesis 1:26-27 (NIV)
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” 27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Christ the Creator
In v. 26, who created humans? Does v. 26 differ from v. 27? How?

Lord, You are a God of Love. You desired not to keep the world to yourself but to share all of creation with mankind. You made us in Your own likeness and gave us the responsibility to manage the wonderful world that You created. You created mankind with a plan to sustain itself and to populate the earth by creating male and female. Everything was intentional and immensely beautiful. As we spend time loving each other and caring for Your world, we get a taste of how much You love and enjoy those things. Thank You that You created me in such a way that I can soak up the beauty of Your creation and cherish all that You have made. Allow me to see You in all things every day. Amen
