Genesis 3:20-24 (NIV)
20 Adam named his wife Eve because she would become the mother of all the living. 21 The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. 22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” 23 So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. 24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

Discover how God Led, how God Acted and how God Provided for Adam & Eve.

Think of a time, in a way that God led, acted and provided for you.

God of all creation, Adam and Eve were given full reign of the most beautiful garden on earth and full access to You; but they wanted more. You didn’t turn Your back on them even after they disobeyed You. There were consequences to their sin but You still loved them and provided for their needs. I am no different than Adam and Eve. You have richly blessed me but I still seem to wander off looking for more. Forgive me, Lord. I disobey the warnings you have given me for the purposes to keep me safe. I find myself in difficult situations and must pay the consequences for my own actions. But You never stop loving me. Even though I have sinned, You walk me through my mess and provide a way back to You. Thank You for never leaving me, no matter what. Help me to learn from my past mistakes to stay closer to You by following Your Word, listening to Your voice and doing Your will. It will make consequences in my life with You much more enjoyable. Amen
