Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NIV)
23 This is what the Lord says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, 24 but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.

The Dead-Living—The end of those who trust in the Living God and not present circumstance

Thank You Lord that through Your love for me, I find the very meaning of what it is to know You. As I aim to learn more about You in Your Word, I understand You personally and become more mature spiritually. Help me prioritize the things in my life that feed an understanding of who You are so that I can live with intimacy with You and be more like You. Nothing in my life matters or provides purpose in my life as much as You, not my wisdom, strength or riches. Father, help me to grow in maturity in my knowledge of You so that I hear Your words speaking to me clearly. Help me to act with kindness, justice, and righteousness. Allow me to proclaim You with authority and power, so that many will put their faith in You and find purpose and meaning of their lives. Amen
