Isaiah 51:11 (NIV)
11 Those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
Identify reasons for coming to church (worship) regularly from today’s text.
One of the greatest joys that I have is singing at church. I love how the words from so many of the songs come straight from scriptures. There are songs that proclaim Your grace and faithfulness and bring me joy. And there are songs where I can express my love and admiration directly to You, my Heavenly Father, the King of all things. Whatever the song, the music infects my very soul with gladness and joy. How I love the privilege to sing praises to You. I can’t even imagine how awesome it will be to worship You with all the heavenly hosts surrounding Your throne for eternity. Today I feel like singing in church is a small foretaste of that day when I will sing to you in heaven. Until that day, I will continue to sing praises with all my heart to You in church. Amen.
