Romans 1:16-17 (NIV)
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

If you took advantage of the opportunity to explain the gospel to someone, how would you explain it?

Lord, You are the God of all creation. You created humans in your own image and loved them. Through their disobedience, sin cursed them and separated them from You. But because of Your great love, While we were sinful and unable to save ourselves, You sent Your only Son, Jesus Christ, to live among us. Even though You had no sin You sacrificed Yourself to pay the ultimate price for our sins. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we have all been forgiven for all our sins and You saved us from eternal wrath.  Thank You Lord for Your glorious gift of grace and mercy to all that receive it through faith. There is nothing I could ever do to make You love me more and nothing I could ever do to make You love me less. For by grace I have been saved through faith. I proclaim You as my Lord and God and look with anticipation to the day when You will raise up all who believe in You to live with You and to worship You for eternity. Until that glorious day, help me to live faithfully here and to share the Gospel openly so that all who hears can come to believe and be saved. Amen.
