Request for Prayer
3 As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. 2 And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. 4 We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command.

In what ways does Jesus sustain/keep/protect His own?
Holy God, there are so many evil people in the world. I see it the TV, radio, papers, magazines; the anger, hatred, cheating, manipulating, power-mongering, lying, jealousy, selfishness, and so many other dark behaviors. It scares me, discourages me and leaves me just plain sad. But You Lord, are my strength and the hope that sustains me. I pray to You for protection, for confidence, and for endurance. Help me to trust in You, for You are God. I know that You hear my prayers and You are faithful. I will stand against evil by doing what You command and continue to pray with confidence that you will deliver me for doing Your will. Bless those who have integrity and trust in You. Amen
