Shepherd of the Hills has outgrown its facilities, and we are preparing to expand!
Our goal is to break ground in August 2009, on an 18,000 sq ft church, with sanctuary seating of 300, fellowship seating for 200, and high quality, dedicated space for children and youth ministries. The new building will be located on our current property, just south of the present church.
Update: We have received all of the necessary approvals from the Village of Richfield! We are now finishing some interior material details, and beginning to prepare construction/engineering drawings, so that we can complete the final bid process.
Key dates:
June 21, 9:30 am: Congregational meeting to authorize completion of construction drawings.
July 2009: Completion of final bidding by subcontractors.
Early August 2009: Congregation meeting for final approval of construction agreement with Keller, Inc.
Late August 2009: Ground breaking
November 2009: New building under roof, first layer of asphalt on parking lot.
February 10, 2010: Installation of the cross and the top of the steeple!
Easter 2010: First service in the new church!
